Cass marriages

Here is a another marriage documentation* of my 9th great grandparents, Martha (Philbrick) and John Cass as well as the two marriages for my 8th great grandfather, Joseph Cass.  His first wife was Mary (Hobbs) and his second wife Elizabeth (maiden name Green) Chase, which was her second marriage as well.

I haven't found confirmation of the birth of my 7th great grandfather, Jonathan Cass, though it is believed he was born around 1698, which would make Elizabeth (Green) Chase Cass my 8th great grandmother.

This entry relates to my 8th great grandfather, Joseph Cass*, the son of my 9th great grandparents, Martha (Philbrick) and John Cass, mentioned in yesterday's blog post.

*The birth date of October 5, 1656 has also been found as August 5, 1656.

Joseph Cass - birth documentation

Here is documentation of my 9th great grandfather,  Joseph Cass who was born in Hampton, New Hampshire August 5, 1656.  

Joseph was the son of my 10th great grandparents, Martha (Philbrick) and John Cass.

This birth record was transcribed by the State of New Hampshire in 1906.

I have seen other family trees that indicate Joseph was born October 5, 1656, but nothing to verify that date.
